Condra, Harrianne Moore

Harrianne was born in Baton Rouge, LA on November 22, 1929. She passed away on May 20, 2013, in Nashville. Mrs. Condra was the daughter of former L.S.U. football and track coach and Southeastern Conference Commissioner Bernie H. Moore and wife, Anna Clark Moore. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ellen Elizabeth “Tottie” Moore Ellis, and her brother, Dr. Bernie H. Moore, Jr. She is survived by her only child Lisa Condra Neff (Tom) and two grandchildren, Katherine Clark Neff and Thomas Neff.

Mrs. Condra attended L.S.U. and graduated from the University of Alabama in 1951, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She began her early work life in Nashville at WSM radio. At WSM Mrs. Condra proposed the idea of an annual Disc Jockey Convention to commemorate the Grand Ole Opry’s birthday celebration. This became the foundation for Fan Fair and now the world- famous CMA Music Festival. She continued her work in the music industry as Director of Copyright Administration for Tree Publishing, now Sony/ADV. During her twenty-year tenure there, Mrs. Condra was considered one of the foremost authorities on music rights and publishing copyrights. She was a member of Leadership Music and in 2003 received the Source Foundation Award honoring women who have been vital contributors to Nashville’s music business.

Mrs. Condra’s family is grateful to everyone at Belcourt Terrace for their tremendous love and care. Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, May 23, 2013, from 4-7 pm at 717 Westview Avenue, the home of Mrs. Joan Neff and Lisa and Tom Neff. A graveside service will be at 2 pm on Friday, May 24, 20113, at the Winchester City Cemetery in Winchester, TN. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alive Hospice of Nashville.
