Survived by wife, Mrs. Maxie Lee Whitmore; son, Mr. David Whitmore; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Baker, Mrs. Margaret Lauper, both of Nashville. Remains are at Marshall Donnelly & Combs, 201 – 25th Avenue, North. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday; October 19, 1982, at the Ashwood Church of Christ, 2206 21st Avenue, South, conducted by Bros. Rubel Shelly, Virgil Bradford, Clifford Owen. Remains will lie in state one hour prior to services. Family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery.
