Hyne, Kathryn Marsh

Kathryn Marsh Hyne was born August 24, 1922, in Pikeville, TN, and died December 18, 2013, in Blue Ridge, GA.

A woman of courageous faith in Christ, joyful thanksgiving, exuberant intellect, bold tongue, devoted loves, and vibrant hospitality, she was married to Ernest Hyne in Boston, MA, on July 21, 1945.

She is survived by brother, Lee (Ann) Marsh; children, Jeril (Danny) Cline, Nancy (Wayne) Poole, Ernie (Linda) Hyne, JoEtta (Michael) Deaton, Marsha Lanier; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

She helped build numerous Churches of Christ, Christian colleges, retreats, and women’s auxiliaries in NC, TN, PA, DE, Africa and Israel.

Funeral service: Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Bethel Church of Christ, Dunlap, TN. Visitation: 10 am till funeral service at 12 noon (CST). Graveside: 3 pm at Worthington Cemetery in Pikeville, TN.
